Key Responsibilities
You will be the central figure ensuring our kitchen’s daily success, balancing hands-on tasks with supervisory duties. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the foundational prep work: washing and cutting vegetables, and preparing meat through cutting and marination, ensuring everything is ready for service.
- Cooking a variety of dishes using key techniques like stir-frying, deep-frying, and steaming to our established standards.
- Managing and maintaining all kitchen equipment, performing basic checks and coordinating repairs to ensure everything is safe and operational.
- Enforcing the highest standards of kitchen hygiene and cleanliness, leading by example to maintain a safe and organized workspace.
- Providing guidance and direction to other kitchen staff, fostering a cooperative and productive team environment.
- Conducting daily stock takes, placing timely orders for supplies, and carefully checking invoices and the quality of goods upon delivery.
